We all need a little encouragement sometimes. Whether you’re facing your toughest life challenges or tackling the next adventure before you, God has something to tell you.

God’s timely truth, given to us through the Bible, can provide the encouragement and heavenly reality check you need today.

When God feels far away.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 )

When you feel distracted.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:1-2)

When you begin to doubt.

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. (1 Peter 1:8)

When you need some perspective.

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. (1 Timothy 4:7-8)

When you feel lost and alone.

But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways to bring us back to Him when we have been separated from Him. (2 Samuel 14:14)

When you feel like you don’t know what to do.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

When you feel sad.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

When you feel afraid.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

When you feel timid.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)

When you feel anxious.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.. (1 Peter 5:7)
